To connect your domain to Red OnX, you need to have the following information:
- your login information for your domain provider account
- your domain provider’s instructions for connecting to websites
- the Red OnX Server IP address of 44.227.3.26
- the www CNAME record of @
Even if you give Red OnX specific authorization, we will not be able to log into your domain provider account for you. Contact your domain provider’s support staff if you need assistance pointing your domain to your Red OnX website.
Step 1: Change your DNS records in your domain provider account
On your domain provider’s website, log in to your account. Find the DNS settings or domain management area.
Change the following records:
- Point the A record to the Red OnX IP address 44.227.3.26.
- If necessary, change the Host name to the @ symbol.
- Delete any other A records on the domain if there are any present.
- Point the CNAME record with the name www to @. If necessary create a www CNAME record if one doesn’t exist.
You can use the default value for the TTL number in your DNS settings.
Save your changes.
Step 2: Connect your website to domain
From your Red OnX My Account page, go to Subscriptions.
Click Domain Setup for the website you wish to setup.
Enter your domain, and then click Save Domain URL.
One of our Launch Specialists will verify your domain and website are connected. If they see any issues they will email with suggestions to resolve any problems. Our Launch Specialists cannot login into your domain provider’s website and make changes for you.
It might take up to 48 hours for your domain to be verified. After it’s verified, you will receive an email from us informing your domain is verified.
