How to Add or Remove Items from Your Website Menu

You can easily customize your website’s navigation menu by adding or removing pages, posts, custom links, categories, and WebStore endpoints. Follow the instructions below to manage your menu items.

Accessing the Menus

  • Go to Manage Site > Menus in the Red OnX dashboard.
  • If there is only one menu, you will be taken directly to the menu editing screen.

Adding Items to the Menu

Adding a Page

  • In the menu editor, locate the Pages section in the left panel.
  • Check the box next to the page you want to add to the menu.
  • Click the Add to Menu button. The page will appear at the bottom of the menu structure on the right.
  • Drag and drop the page to your desired position within the menu.

Adding a Post

  • In the menu editor, locate the Posts section in the left panel.
  • Check the box next to the post you want to add to the menu.
  • Click the Add to Menu button. The post will appear at the bottom of the menu structure.
  • Drag and drop the post to your desired position within the menu.

Adding a Custom Link

  • In the menu editor, locate the Custom Links section in the left panel.
  • Enter the URL and the text you want to display in the menu.
  • Click the Add to Menu button. The custom link will appear at the bottom of the menu structure.
  • Drag and drop the link to your desired position within the menu.

Adding a Category

  • In the menu editor, locate the Categories section in the left panel.
  • Check the box next to the category you want to add to the menu.
  • Click the Add to Menu button. The category will appear at the bottom of the menu structure.
  • Drag and drop the category to your desired position within the menu.

Adding a WebStore Endpoint

  • In the menu editor, locate the WebStore Endpoints section in the left panel.
  • Check the box next to the endpoint you want to add (e.g., Orders, Downloads, Bookings).
  • Click the Add to Menu button. The endpoint will appear at the bottom of the menu structure.
  • Drag and drop the endpoint to your desired position within the menu.

Changing the Navigation Label for Menu Items

  • After adding an item to the menu, click the dropdown arrow next to the item in the menu structure.
  • In the Navigation Label field, enter the new label you want to display in the menu (e.g., rename “Blog” to “News”).
  • The new label will be displayed in your site’s navigation menu instead of the original page or link title.

Removing Items from the Menu

  • In the menu structure on the right, find the item you want to remove (page, post, custom link, category, or endpoint).
  • Click the dropdown arrow next to the item.
  • Click the Remove link to delete the item from your menu.

Reordering Menu Items

  • To change the order of items in the menu, simply drag and drop them to your desired position within the menu structure.

Saving Your Menu

  • After making the necessary changes, click the Save Menu button to apply them.
