Accessing the Product
To assign attributes to a product, start by navigating to Products > All Products in your dashboard. Choose the product you want to edit or click Add New to create a new product.
Opening the Attributes Tab
In the product edit screen, locate the Product Data section. Click on the Attributes tab to access the attribute management area.
Adding an Attribute
In the Attributes tab, use the Add an attribute dropdown menu to select an existing attribute that you’ve already created. After selecting the attribute, click Add to include it in your product. If the attribute hasn’t been created yet, you’ll need to do that first in the Product Attributes section.
Configuring Attribute Terms
Once the attribute is added, you can configure the terms (values) that apply to this product. For instance, if the attribute is “Color,” you can choose the specific colors available for this product.
Making the Attribute Visible
To display the attribute on the product page, check the Visible on the product page checkbox. This step is optional but recommended if the attribute is important for customer decisions.
Saving the Attribute
After configuring the attributes and terms, click Save attributes to apply the changes.
Updating the Product
Once everything is set, update or publish the product to make your changes live on your store.
